Today, we love and hate ring tones at the same time. No matter where you go during the course of your busy day, a cell phone is waiting to ring, warning its owner of an incoming call with one or another of those grating tunes that you are simply sick of hearing. Have they established the term "ring tone stress" yet?
They really should. Before, telephones were limited to places like homes and offices only. But these days, the mobility of cell phones means that they invade almost every aspect of our lives, and they are no respecter of our boundaries. They will ring, simply demanding us to answer them, wherever we go.
But for many people, it's not the constant availability that upsets. It's actually the ring tone. This is most particularly true when the ring tone belongs to someone else, and especially when that someone can't seem to find his or her phone, or doesn't appear inclined to answer it. Commuting can increase stress levels, but this isn't just due to the traffic. There are times when you think you'll explode if you hear that annoying ring tone one more time. Or maybe you'll crack the darn phone.
An undecided ring tone is probably the most irritating kind. This involves a person trying to decide which ring tone he should use while he is out. One ring tone can cause stress, and what more if it's ten ring tones. One's health will greatly be affected by an undecided ring tone user. Your health will decline more with a user like that than saturated fat.
Irritating as they are, we need ring tones. Without our ring tones, millions of calls could go unanswered every day, and who knows what we'd miss then? Just don't forget that not everyone will appreciate your ring tone. You should do your part to use your ring tone correctly.
