Since the grips slide in to hold your phone, it will hold a phone with a skin/case on it with you having to remove the skin/case. The plastic button you push to release the grips feels weak, but it has not yet broken on me yet and I have used it heavily since purchasing last week. The universal joint does not hold the phone up after three months of use. Anytime I drive over a bump, it slides down a little bit.
You don't have to worry about this one falling off like most others. If you have a problem it might be getting it off!
I purchased this mount hoping to use my vent instead of the suction cup because I wanted to use a phone-mount that I could remove easily in its entirety. In my experience suction cups don't stay in place if they are regularly removed and re-installed.
I purchased to hold my iPhone 4 in my vehicle. Suction cups holds very well. Turned out I'm using both - one in my car, another in my wife's car. Two mounts for the price of one, and both mounts are constructed well, and very usable.

But it got really bad any time I hit a bump. I would say bumps would make it shake sideways as much as a full centimeter. This product gets the job done. I've had no issue with my phone (an Evo 4G) falling out, and I put in my vent and haven't had any issues with the weight pulling it out.
The other seller was selling the exact same product with only one of the mounts for an additional $5, so this is a great deal compared to other sellers. I purchased this for my Droid Incredible and it fits perfectly, with the Otterbox case that I have for it. You just have to make sure when you mount it that it's the way you want it because sometimes the weight of the device can make it tip forward but still stays on the mount. I only knocked off a star for the vent mount problems but it is a very well-made product that has excellent value. Drive safe everyone! My disappointment with this product is that it only worked for me with the windscreen mount. The air vent mount, which is what I wanted to use, was much too flimsy and the weight of the phone (Galaxy S2) moves the product back and forth every time you turn the car (and I'm no speed demon!) On the windscreen it works well. One side went in while the other side stayed released. I thought I broke it, but it was an easy fix. The articulating arms are thick and sturdy. This holder does not bounce or vibrate when driving.
