Many people avoid starting small businesses because they feel they may sink under the pressure of all the administrative detail. When you're just starting out, you don't often have resources to hire someone to do all that work for you, yet at the same time, you may very much be in need of some organization to get yourself established. It's scary when you love the idea of the work you could do, but are terrified of the word "business"

The word "business" may terrify you. You may be passionate about what you want to do, but fear the administrative side will sink you. Small businesses can be made or broken under good management and organization. If this isn't your strong point then you may be scared of even starting something because you know yourself what you're like. Hiring an administrator is probably way out of your affordability at the moment, but what do you do in the mean time?

For one thing, everyone needs a website. This may fill you with fear because you think you have to hire someone and spend a lot of money getting something good. Someone we think the better or more complicated and bespoke a website is, the more visitors it will attract. The good news is, that this isn't the case at all. Simple websites, as simple as a blog are often the best for search engines to find, and they are the kind where you can simply down load a template, fill it in yourself, and keep it updated simply.

For small businesses there is also a low cost alternative to hiring someone to do all that administrative work. If you have some basic computer skills you can purchase software that will help you cover all your bases. Some companies actually market bespoke software of this kind that will be tailored exactly to what you need. It may be a wise investment at the start of things that will enable you to keep on top of your administrative side of things.

It will get easier as you go. Slow and steady growth is the way forward and take each thing as it comes and give yourself time to get your head around things. Take deep breathes and enjoy the ride!
